๐Ÿ”ฐ Universal Tower Defense: Ultimate Beginner's Guide (2025)

Welcome to UTD! This guide will take you from a complete "Noob" to a "Pro" player. The game is all about summoning anime characters, defending your base, and trading for high-value units.

๐Ÿš€ Step 1: The "Golden Start" (Redeem Codes)

Before you play a single match, get your free resources. Do not skip this! The developers have given out massive rewards for the launch.

  • How to Redeem: Look for the Codes/Chat button on the screen.
  • Active Codes (Try these immediately):
    • 40kCCU! (4,000 Gems + 40 Rerolls) [BEST CODE]
    • Mainstream! (450 Gems + 15 Rerolls)
    • UNRIVALED! (200 Gems + 5 Rerolls)
    • RELEASE! (400 Gems)

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: Use the 4,000 Gems to summon immediately. If you don't get a Mythic or Secret unit, you might want to create a new account and try again (this is called "Rerolling an account").

๐Ÿ”ฎ Step 2: Summoning Strategy

Don't just spend gems randomly. Here is how the summoning banner works:

  1. The Banner: The units in the summon area change every hour (usually).
  2. What to aim for:
    • Don't settle for Rares/Epics. They become useless very quickly.
    • Target: You need at least one Legendary or Mythic unit to clear Story Mode easily.
    • Pity System: If you summon enough times without getting a high-tier unit, the game guarantees you one. Check the counter!

โš”๏ธ Step 3: Gameplay Fundamentals (How to Win)

1. Placement is Key

  • Corners are King: Always place your units on the corners of the path. This allows them to hit enemies for a longer time as they walk around the bend.
  • Hill Units: Some units can only be placed on elevated ground (Hills). These usually have higher range.

2. Quality > Quantity

  • It is almost always better to upgrade one strong unit to max level than to place 5 weak, Level 1 units.
  • Upgrading unlocks new attacks (AOE) and massive damage boosts.

3. Priority Settings

  • Click your unit and change "Targeting" based on the situation:
    • First: Default. Hits the enemy closest to the base.
    • Strongest: Essential for Bosses! Make your high-damage units target the Boss.

๐Ÿ† Step 4: The "Meta" (Units to Look For)

If you pull any of these, lock them immediately (do not sell or fuse them).

  • ๐Ÿ‘‘ The God Tier (Secret Units):
    • Sung Jin-Woo (Jinoo): The best unit currently. Summons shadows.
    • Dragon Guy (Silverite): Insane freeze/stun capability.
  • ๐Ÿ’Ž The Top Tier (Mythics):
    • Berserker: High damage dealer.
    • Kriatu (Cheater): Amazing ground DPS.
    • Miku: The best Support unit (buffs your team's range/damage).

โšก Step 5: Traits (Power Up!)

You will get "Trait Rerolls" from codes. Use these to give your best units passive buffs.

  • NPC: Look for the NPC named "Trait Reroll".
  • Aim For:
    • Godly / Divinity: Massive damage boosts.
    • Swift: Attacks faster.
    • Range: Increases attack distance (great for support units).

๐Ÿ“ Quick Progression Roadmap

  1. Login & Codes: Get your 4,000+ Gems.
  2. Summon: Try to get Berserker or Kriatu. If you get Miku, keep her for support.
  3. Story Mode: Play through the Story Mode (start with Namek or the easiest map). This gives you Gold and XP.
  4. Equip Items: As you win, you get items. Equip them to your units for stat boosts.
  5. Infinite Mode: Once you have a full team of Level 20+ units, try Infinite Mode to farm Gems.

โš ๏ธ Important Warnings

  • Trading: Do not trade until you understand values. People will try to scam you for your Secret units.
  • AFK: If you go AFK (Away From Keyboard) in the lobby, put yourself in the "AFK Zone" to earn passive rewards.

Good luck, Defender! Hope you pull a Secret Unit! ๐Ÿ€
